Myelodysplasia (MDS)

General: MDS is a form of bone marrow failure resulting in varying degrees of cytopenias. In addition, the cells which are produced may not function normally. Patients may suffer from anemia, be prone to infections because of neutropenia and/or bleeding because of thrombocytopenia.
